Dual Detector Synergy Covers a Wide Concentration Range

The PTM100 gas analyzer comes standard with a flame ionization detector (FID), with a measurement range from zero to 100,000 ppm and methane as the reference substance, making it suitable for quantitative analysis at high-concentration leak points. An optional photoionization detector (PID) is also available, with a measurement range of 0 to 2,000 ppm and isobutene as the equivalent reference substance. It supports multi-range switching, effectively addressing the limitations of the FID in detecting certain low-concentration or hard-to-ionize substances.

Both the FID and PID detectors can operate simultaneously. The device features a built-in database of response factors for over 200 volatile organic compounds, facilitating rapid on-site qualitative and quantitative analysis. The method detection limits for both detection modes reach 0.5 ppm, with repeatability and linearity errors exceeding industry standards, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.

Intrinsically safe design, suitable for operation in hazardous areas

The main unit’s explosion-proof marking is Ex db ia IIC T4 Gb, while the handheld controller’s explosion-proof ratings are Ex ib IIC T4 Gb and Ex ib D 21 T130°C. The entire unit meets safety requirements for IIC-class gas environments and locations with combustible dust. The sampling flow rate is 800 milliliters per minute and is adjustable; the T90 response time does not exceed 3.5 seconds, enabling rapid detection of transient leaks and preventing missed detections.

Intelligent Assistance for Enhanced On-Site Efficiency

The device is equipped with a 6.5-inch touchscreen handheld controller that supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless data transmission, allowing real-time viewing of detection curves, remaining hydrogen levels, and remaining battery charge. A single refill of the hydrogen cylinder provides over 15 hours of continuous operation, and the battery offers at least 10 hours of runtime at 0°C, meeting the continuous detection needs for an entire shift. The flame ionization detector features automatic ignition and real-time flame temperature monitoring, with smart alerts for hydrogen pressure and remaining operating time to help inspectors plan their work pace effectively.

Multi-Scenario Coverage, Empowering Precision Environmental Management

For LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) inspections, the PTM100 can quickly locate leak sources at sealing points on equipment such as valves, flanges, and pump shafts, and quantitatively analyze leak concentrations. This provides data support for repair work and helps enterprises meet compliance requirements for leak detection and repair.

For leak detection at sealed points in oil and gas collection and recovery systems, the device conducts leak inspections on sealed connections such as storage tanks, loading/unloading stations, and oil and gas processing units, effectively controlling fugitive emissions from the recovery system.

For voc detection at leaks and open liquid surfaces, the gas analyzer can be used to monitor VOC emissions from liquid surfaces or interfaces—such as wastewater treatment ponds, open sections of gathering and transmission pipelines, and sampling ports—to identify hidden emission pathways.

For rapid screening of soil contaminants, when used in conjunction with soil sampling probes, the analyzer can perform on-site preliminary screening of volatile compounds in the headspace of contaminated sites, providing rapid evidence to support subsequent detailed investigations and remediation decisions.

For comprehensive regional surveys, leveraging its portability and long battery life, the analyzer can be used for mobile or grid-based monitoring in industrial parks and around plant boundaries to create regional VOC concentration distribution maps, thereby aiding in pollution source tracing and emergency response.

Currently, the PTM100 volatile organic gas analyzer has been put into practical use at numerous large domestic petrochemical enterprises, fine chemical industrial parks, and third-party testing institutions, where it has demonstrated stable performance.
